The location was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views and wildlife all around. Our room was spotless and equipped with all the essentials for a comfortable short stay. The outdoor KolKol under the stars is an unforgettable experience and a must-try for anyone visiting. Sue was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. We’ll definitely be back!

The room has everything you need, including a kitchen. The location is convenient – the center of Hermanus is about 15 minutes by car, and the beaches are also close. We had a fantastic Stay at Hemel 'N Aarde Stud, amazing location and beautiful views.
The accommodation is 5* and the wood fired hot tubs are the icing on the cake.
The rooms are lovely with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Sue and her team were so lovely and helpful,they made our stay even better.
Highly recommend staying here when visiting Hermanus as you get to see the real South Africa, with lots of great wineries and restaurants in the area too.

We had the pleasure of spending a couple of days at Hemel 'n Aarde Stud Farm in September, pure food for the soul. The accommodation was lovely and clean and spending time in nature, under blue skies and starry nights was absolute bliss.
There were so many foals at the time too! We started each morning with a brisk walk around the farm and coffee at the dam. Then off to do wine tasting at the many wine farms in the area.
Charlie was also great in making sure there was enough wood to fire up our hot tub each afternoon.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and Sue.

We hope to be back very soon.

Our stay at Hemel n Aarde Stud was absolutely magnificent. The setting is incredibly tranquil, surrounded by bright green fields and racehorses grazing against a backdrop of stunning mountain views. We stayed in Casey Tibbs cabin, which was modern, spotless, and thoughtfully designed. The outdoor hot tub on the front patio is a treat, while the Victorian bath on the rear patio added a unique touch of luxury. The large top-range gas braai made outdoor dining a pleasure, and inside we enjoyed the wood burner. The kitchenette was well-equipped with everything we needed, and the compact bathroom was comfortable and functional.
A truly peaceful, scenic, and beautifully maintained property — highly recommended for anyone seeking relaxation and natural beauty.

• Casey Tibbs Bungalow

We spent three glorious nights in the Camden Park bungalow and it was an absolute treat. The bungalow catered to all our needs and more. The views were stupendous from the mountains behind the cottage to the sea in the far distance and one evening we had three mares and their newborn foals in the paddock in front of our verandah. The windows all slide open to give a feeling of being outdoors while still indoors and can be covered overnight if you prefer the darkness, or leave the blinds open and wake to incredible vistas and the sounds of nature. The hot tub was worth the effort and we were fortunate to enjoy it on a night when we had the most beautiful sunset. Don't think .. just make the reservation. You won't regret it.

• Camden Park Bungalow

The accommodation once again exceeded our expectations. We had the large cottage at the very top of the hill with a beautiful view over the Hemel en Aarde valley to the Atlantic. The cottage is superbly equipped and furnished in a modern yet cozy style and has glass in almost all directions. In the evening we were able to grill and use the well-equipped kitchen. The nearest supermarket is about 15 minutes away by car. There are some restaurants in the nearby wineries (not open in the evenings), otherwise you have to head towards Hermanus. In the evening we heated up the hot tub and enjoyed the starry sky, which was a wonderful experience. Support was also very helpful and personal. For us the ideal accommodation to visit the Hemel en Aarde Valley with its beautiful wineries. We'd like to have stayed longer.

• Camden Park Bungalow

Hemel N Aarde Stud is truly a piece of heaven on earth. From the little drive leading to this beautiful place you are met with a very warm welcome from upcountry scenery. People always associate being in the valley to the difficulties in life but Hemel N Aarde simply changed that notion. Situated in the Valley Hemel and Aarde is surrounded by sleeping mountains and trees. If you love animals then the horses are a beauty to see. The cozy little kol kol (hot tub) in the heart of nature. The privacy that each visitor has is an added bonus. The serene feeling of being surrounded by all these beautiful things is what makes Hemel N Aarde so unique. There was absolutely nothing not to like.

So much attention to details. From fresh flowers, lovely toiletries and different coffee options and a delightful host. AND then the hot tub and view!! We can't wait to visit again. The property is just out of this world and the smell of all the flowers around you is just pure bliss. Truly Hemel op Aarde. Having to leave was very hard.
