Stunning location Beautiful cabin Feel as if only people around, truly Hemel and Arde (heaven and earth) Loved seeing horses and their fouls so close by.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The location was perfect, nestled in a beautiful valley with stunning horses and wildlife, and just a short drive from Hermanus and some incredible wine estates. Our room was private, cozy, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The wood-fired hot tub was a fantastic bonus, offering a picture-perfect view. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. This is a place we would highly recommend to anyone visiting Hermanus.
There was very little to dislike, as everything was amazing and thoughtfully designed. It’s evident that a great deal of time and care has gone into creating this beautiful stud farm, and we honestly don’t have any changes. The only thing we would change is that we wish we could have stayed longer than two days!

We had a really comfy room with a view over the farm...horses and sheep and abundant birdlife. Garfield the resident ginger cat was a charmer! We had the freedom to explore the entire farm and the horses and foals and pregnant mares were a sight to behold. The highlight of the stay was the woodfired hot tub..with a view over a paddock with a horse and sheep..private and with an endless supply of wood.. Sue was a great host and we would highly recommend this farm for a stay.

Being on the farm was peaceful and relaxing, true food for the soul. Accomodation was clean and a lot of thought was put into what you might need whilst away. Come 3pm Sammy started firing up the hot tub which was amazing! Staff were very friendly and Sue was a pleasures to deal with. Farm is close to wine farms and town is pretty close too. We will definitely be back!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hemel n Aarde Stud. The service was excellent and made us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived. The views are simply breathtaking, with the mountains and valley creating the perfect backdrop for a peaceful getaway. We really enjoyed exploring the farm and seeing all the beautiful horses, which added such a special touch to our experience. It’s a place that combines comfort, tranquility, and natural beauty, and we left feeling completely refreshed.

We stayed at the Jay Peg cottage- the views were amazing, the luxurious cottage was fully equipped, and the kol kol and indoor fire place are a big bonus on an already perfect place to stay! The scenery and quiet of the farm makes you forget you’re a short trip into Hermanus. Sue is an excellent host, and the team made my birthday stay extra special for me.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. Sue and her team made it so special for our 1 year wedding anniversary, where they decorated with a few lights and left us champagne! It had beautiful views of the mountains and not so far from the beach where we saw some whales! We would be back for my relaxation and calmness in the future

If you are a horse-lover, this is the ideal get-away for you. Seeing horses in your backyard as you get-up in the mornings or coming to greet you good night - what a treat. Free roam on farm with lovely walks and stable visits. Friendly staff that respect your privacy, but at the same time willing to meet your individual needs. Beautiful, secluded setting. Accommodation is modern, yet relaxed, with fine finishes and wonderful extras. Will most definitely be a repeat visitor.
